Jaya grew up in Duluth, GA, which is a suburb near Atlanta, for most of her life. After doing undergrad and medical school in Georgia, she decided to move to Philadelphia for a change of scenery for residency and loved it. She is excited for a career in cardiology and is looking forward to exploring the different areas of cardiology in fellowship. Research interests include quality improvement and smoking cessation to improve cardiovascular outcomes. She also has an interest in medical education. In her free time, she loves to dance, specifically to Bollywood music, try new restaurants, and spend time with her family and friends.
