The Life Support Training Center at Cooper University Hospital is committed to training the public and professional communities in emergency cardiovascular care. Through an alliance with the American Heart Association, we offer classes in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support and neonatal resuscitation.
All courses are designed and delivered with a hands-on approach. The learner is encouraged to practice and demonstrate both the skills and the knowledge necessary to save lives.
These classes are valuable as they touch both laypersons and healthcare providers. Each member of the Life Support Training Team is committed to reducing disability and preventing death from emergencies. These emergencies include – but are not limited to – respiratory distress, cardiovascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease.
The education provided at our Training Center has the potential to touch thousands of people in their most dire hour of need. Through education, we hope to make a difference in the everyday lives of everyday people throughout the community.
Our outstanding instructor staff includes board-certified physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, paramedics, EMTs and many others with specialized training and experience. They use educational adjuncts and realistic scenario-based teaching to target specific provider needs.
