When I was a teenager, I was inspired to pursue a career in medicine after seeing the care that my mother received for her cancer diagnosis, seeing her interact with various medical specialties opened my eyes to how a team of skilled professionals can make a profound difference in a patient's life. This experience fueled my desire to be part of a team that provides such meaningful care. I’ve always had a fascination for surgery, but I also wanted to be in a field where I am able to foster long term relationships with patients. Over the past year being in clinic, being able to see the two aspects at play has solidified my commitment to podiatry and reassured me that I am in the right field. The ability to combine hands-on surgical work with ongoing patient relationships is what excites me most about a career in foot and ankle surgery
