My name is Monica Morgenstern. I am originally from Cochabamba, Bolivia and immigrated to the suburbs of Philadelphia with my family when I was eleven years old. With the exception of two years, I’ve spent the majority of my time in Philadelphia since, attending Drexel University for my B.S., M.S, and M.D. degrees. I took a research year in Boston, MA at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center where I discovered the expansive field of plastic surgery. Since then I have garnered interest in microsurgery, breast reconstruction, limb salvage and cosmetic facial plastics. Coming from a minority background, I also have a huge interest in health equity and providing comprehensive care to underserved populations.
Outside of work, I love to travel and explore new cities around the world. I am a huge fan of cooking, particularly experimenting with homemade pasta dishes. And lastly, I love to stay active with pilates or any HIIT studios.
