Cara grew up in West Philadelphia surrounded by her many siblings and cousins who lived around the corner. She only left Philadelphia briefly to go to Brown University in Providence Rhode Island, but then came right back to attend medical school and residency in the Philadelphia region. Her research interests have been in premature coronary artery disease, and she hopes to continue with this population during her fellowship and as a future Cardiologist. She also wishes to pursue work within the field of bioinformatics. In her free time, she likes to host dinner parties, lift kettlebells, read, and play with her two children.
