Peter J. Chen, MD, FACOG
About Me
Dr. Chen is an Associate Professor at CMSRU and Director of The Jaffe Family Women’s Care Center at Cooper. He completed his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in 1996, and his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2000. Coming to us from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was faculty from 2000-2011, he continues to actively participate in OB-GYN medical student, resident, and FPMRS fellow teaching. He was a Co-Director of the Women’s Care Clinic of Cooper Hospital from 2012-2018 where he continues to work closely with the operation of the resident clinic. He is currently the attending staff who directs the preoperative gynecologic surgeries for the residents. He has co-authored a variety of articles, abstracts, and book chapters and has received numerous teaching awards including the “John J. Mikuta, MD, Award for Excellence in Professionalism in Women’s Health” by the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, in June, 2011; the Council on the CREOG National Faculty Award for Excellence in Resident Education in June, 2012; and South Jersey Magazine’s Top Doc in 2013, 2014, and 2015. He specializes in robotic gynecologic surgery and significantly contributes to the fellows’ robotic training.

About Me
Dr. Sarah Clarke grew up in rural Connecticut and studied biology at Earlham College in Indiana. She pursued medicine at Touro University of Osteopathic Medicine in California. She completed her internship at university of Massachusetts, and then completed her anesthesiology residency and critical care fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
In her free time, Dr. Clarke enjoys her family and refurbishing their sailboat.

About Me
David Clements, MD, is the Director of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery and Director of the Scoliosis Program at Cooper University Health Care. He is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurosurgery at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and Cooper University Hospital, and is a member of the volunteer faculty at Shriners Hospital for Children and St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Dr. Clements is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Clements completed fellowship training in spine surgery in 1989 at the Hospital for Special Surgery, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital, Cornell Medical Center in New York. He graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1982 and completed his residency training at Temple in 1988, which included time at the Shriners Hospital for Children.
Dr. Clements has lectured extensively and authored over 60 articles, chapters and books. He teaches medical students, residents and surgeons at his home institutions as well as nationally and internationally. He is a Diplomate (Board certified) of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, Scoliosis Research Society and Cervical Spine Research Society as well as state and local societies. He has been a visiting professor in academic centers throughout Europe and America and has been a guest chairman of many international spine meetings. He has a special interest in surgical orthopaedic spine, treating children’s spine problems including scoliosis, adult and pediatric spine trauma as well as neck and low back problems in children and adults.

Stephen J. Cohen, MD

Amy Colcher, MD
About Me
Amy Colcher, MD, joined Cooper University Health Care as director of the Cooper Neurological Institute Movement Disorders division after 15 years at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, completed her neurology residency training at Georgetown University, and did her fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Pennsylvania. A well-known authority in movement disorders, Dr. Colcher has authored numerous articles and book chapters.
A diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Colcher serves on the board of the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America. She is involved in clinical research and conducts trials on Huntington’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other movement disorders. She treats patients with dystonia, and has expertise in the use of Botulinum toxins. She sees patients with Parkinson’s disease, Multiple System Atrophy, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, essential tremor, ataxia, and Huntington’s disease and other movement disorders. Dr. Colcher also enjoys teaching trainees and in addition to providing clinical instruction to neurology residents, Dr. Colcher is active as a small group leader at CMSRU and precepts several medical students.
